I can’t believe it’s been more than a year since my last post. There has been very little that has change in the realm of online slots in the United States. Part of my absence has been a bit of apathy on my part since nothing of value has been done by the state and local governments in the USA for online slots.
The frustrating part of this is that I’m surrounded by casino and slot apps on my phone that are fun play. People are willing to develop these apps for fun, but no one can make any money by playing them from their smartphone.
I’ve never been a fan of fun play slots. For me, that would be like playing the lottery for fun. What happens if you actually win big? Absolutely nothing except a bad feeling in the pit of your stomach that this should have been for real money. Maybe some people can have fun playing make believe, but I’m not one of them.
To complicate things further, several of the websites where I used to play slots online are now considered “rogue sites” that have had a lot of customer complaints. Well, that’s great! Let’s win big online only to be screwed out of it because of some contrived reason that the website creates. That would feel exactly like the people who win on a “malfunction” of the slot machine in the casino.
For a while, I gave up on online slots because of these combined problems. I drove the hour to the nearest casino to my house if I wanted to play the video slots for money. Of course, it’s nowhere near as convenient. But, I know that my Player’s Club card actually means something in the long run.
I’m finally starting to get back into playing slots online again. I found a site recently that has a lot of good reviews and isn’t too difficult to deposit money at. It’s called Slots.lv Casino. This site has all of the virtual slots that I remember playing a couple of years ago when I was playing on an almost daily basis online. You can take a look at this slots page if you would like more information about them.
Current Legal Status of Online Slots
For the life of me, I can’t figure out why online slots is unregulated and not legalized when the lottery is basically the exact same game. Random symbols on the reels are pretty comparable to random numbers being drawn. If you want to take some of the earnings and give it to schools, then go ahead and do it if that’s what it takes for legislators to sleep at night.
Currently, only the states of New Jersey and Delaware are allowed to bet on slots for real money online. That’s great for the people that live in those two states. It really shouldn’t be taking this long for other states to get on board with this.
There aren’t really any laws on the books that makes online slots illegal in most states. Some states, such as Arkansas, Kentucky, Utah and Washington have laws that makes most betting illegal. That’s fine. Make it a state issue and allow the banks to accept deposits at these websites without all of the hassle. The states can regulate these websites so that they get the tax money.
But, aside from playing at slots.lv, I don’t have many other choices now because I’ve had so many problems trying to get money into and out of the casino websites. Until these general laws change, it doesn’t figure to be any different in the near future.
